The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (LADPW) offers an e-mail notification system to provide up-to-date information on topics or events of interest, including notifications on road closures, mud and debris flow,emergency notifications, and media alerts. Soles4Souls
Shoes are being collected for residents of Haiti.  If you have new or gently used shoes that you can donate, local businesses have set up collection sites.  The closest site in this region is La Canada, Sports Chalet. Soles4Souls accepts all types of shoes: athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, just as long as they are new or gently worn.
